Travis Dunbar brings with him a strong background in Special Education Consulting and Educational Leadership. Prior to his role here, Travis spent two years supporting schools across Utah in these areas, following a career that began at Parkside Christian Academy, where he taught P.E. and Health before transitioning into the field of Special Education. Originally from Hartland, Vermont, Travis graduated from Windsor High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English from Colby-Sawyer College. His focus on literacy has remained central to his educational philosophy, as he believes it is the cornerstone of academic success. Travis later earned a Master of Education from NorthCentral University, followed by his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership (CAGS Ed Leadership) in 2016. He is a firm believer in the power of a collaborative school environment—one where teachers, students, and families work together to create meaningful educational experiences. He is excited to help foster that kind of community at Cascade Lodge. Outside of work, Travis enjoys reading, running, and spending quality time with his wife.
