Briana Petters leads the Cascade Home clinical team with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field and over four years as a specialty clinician in anxiety and OCD. Briana is an LCSW who found her passion for psychology and psychotherapy early in her undergraduate degree while working as a supervisor in an adolescent treatment center for teen girls. She completed her BS in Psychology from BYU and her MSW from the University of Utah with an emphasis in clinical mental health. While she has practiced with many diverse teens and families, she has remained consistent in her advocacy for the profound changes the right level of care at the right time can provide adolescents. Briana is passionate about helping adolescents heal from OCD, depression, and anxiety disorders at one of the most critical stages of life. As Clinical Director, she develops comprehensive, evidence-based treatment programs tailored to each young person's unique needs, empowering them to overcome challenges and build lasting resilience. Through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, Briana fosters a nurturing, inclusive environment where healing and growth can thrive. Her goal for Cascade Home programming is simple: equip adolescents with the coping skills and self-efficacy to create real, lasting inhibitory learning and change. Briana is drawn to a humanistic perspective and is trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness therapeutic practices. OCD and Anxiety can often impact adolescents and their families to a traumatic level and Briana believes healing comes in the dynamic approach of utilizing multiple modalities effectively to assess and treat the human beyond the diagnostic criteria. Briana is a passionate and driven social change and human rights advocate who is inspired by human resiliency and self-determination. She finds great purpose in contributing to the Cascade Home team as a unique residential setting built around compassion, growth, and a life worth celebrating. Briana’s self-care includes spending time with her dog, Sage, finding a good hot yoga class, taking a visit to the mountains, being next to the ocean, and traveling to places she has never been before.
